In 100 years, I’ll be gone. And in my old age, I won’t have any good memories of my childhood and adolescence. I don’t know exactly what I’ll remember of it.

I’ve realized that I haven’t lived, really.

I need to do something about that.

Yarn: Aslan Trends Invernal in indigo, approx 150 yds (.5 skein)

Needles: Size 8 straight needles

For my mother for her birthday. Very soft yarn. I like it; I hope she does too.

Pattern: Coraline, by Ysolda. good pattern, but Ysolda obviously took the yoke pattern from another blog without crediting her.

Yarn: Aslan Trends Invernal in indigo, approx 900 yards, that is, 3 skeins and a little bit more

Needles: Size 4 (3.5 mm) dpns for sleeves, size 6 (4 mm) circular needles for the body and yoke

Very pretty cardigan. I get quite a few compliments on it. It’s different from anything you would find in a store, which is excellent. Also, the yarn is GREAT. It is very soft (being an angora blend) and the color is rather perfect.

Haha, I never win anything. This is strange.

This time it wasn’t based on chance. I had to write a story. My story turned to be a bit sad, and yet emotionally detached with a child-like innocence. And it won, strangely enough..

And thus, I won a few skeins of yarn. The non-knitter will not understand my glee over the prize.

Ah today isn’t the best of days. It’s a dark Connecticut afternoon, and it’s humid. I normally look forward to autumn as a season of crisp days with blue skies and bright colors. I look forward to scarves wrapped around my neck three times and mittens and the crisp sound of leaves fluttering in the air. Not today.
